If we were going to showcase one specific type of carving, as a demonstration of the skills employed by our wooden artists, we would use one of our 3-D wall carvings. Only the most experienced carvers attempt these, as one slip of the knife and the whole plaque is ruined. Incredibly meticulous, beautiful and detailed, these Rama and Sita wall hangings are quite simply stunning.
Born as the eldest son of Kaushalya and Dasharatha, king of Ayodhya, Rama is referred to within Hinduism as Maryada Purushottama, literally the Perfect Man or Lord of Restrictions. Rama is the husband of Sita, who Hindus consider to be an Avatar of Lakshmi and the embodiment of perfect womanhood. The perfect couple in a perfect carving!
This 3-D carving has been created specifically for the Buddha of Plenty - we are a mass-produced free zone.
