This is a HUGE Didgeridoo (130 cms) and a lovely item, hand carved from teak, beautifully spot painted in traditional Aboriginal designs, varnished and then finished off with a wax mouthpiece.
It's important to stress that this is a teak didgeridoo rather than bamboo, because in comparison, they look better, with a much warmer, deeper texture to the wood, and the paint has more lustre when applied to teak; they also sound better, with a much deeper note, and they are heavier and more resilient, so should give years of musical and decorative entertainment.
Whether used as a musical instrument (as intended!) or merely as a decorative item, this is a beautiful and skillfully crafted instrument, which would make a fantastic gift - and, as with all the items we sell, this has been made to order directly for us.
