Known as Barong, the Indonesian people believe this is a benevolent deity who can evict the devil. Barong masks are usually hung at the entrance gate of temples, and they are also a critical part of the Barong dance, one of Bali's most important religious traditions.
This is a great mask, hand carved and painted from a single piece of alabesia wood, taken from sustainable forests, by the world famous wood carvers of Mas in Bali.
