Known as Barong, the Indonesian people believe this is a benevolent deity who can evict the devil. Barong masks are usually hung at the entrance gate of temples, and they are also a critical part of the Barong dance, one of Bali's most important religious traditions.
This is a remarkable item, elaborately hand carved in a traditional design. The wood is a single piece of hardwood, taken from sustainable forests, and it is impossible to look at, without thinking of the incredible skill that has gone into carving it.
